Mayur Karmarkar

Mayur Karmarkar is currently serving as the Managing Director at the International Copper Association’s (ICA) projects in India since 2019. As the country leader Mayur contributes to the Clean Energy Transition, Green and Healthy Buildings and Market Strategy initiatives of ICA in India. In his role, he supports the sustainable development of copper markets and works with regional copper industry stakeholders to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in India.

Committed to enabling a green transition for developing countries, Mayur is interested in projects promoting sustainable growth. Citing the energy divide in many Asian economies, he is most proud of his work to accelerate energy efficiency and green building markets while addressing various market and institutional barriers.

Mayur holds a post-graduate Diploma in Business Management from Pune University and a graduate degree in engineering.
